These are for me and my communities but speak most specifically to my personal tech config.

We are using dropbox tom move files amongst members. The gtd app, while a personal tool, is used to keep track on who and what I need for next steps in collaborative work. I thought it was worth including for that reason. Same goes for omniplan.

Video creations get posted mostly to YouTube.

add to this Twitterific on the mobile side and tweet deck on the desktop.

Adam, thanks for sharing your configuration. Are these for you or for you and your community(s) or for your community work?

Sorry for my slow response to comments (too much travel!)

Suzanne, I think you hit on something important in terms of professional development. This "password" thing is challenging because it is functionally simple (remembering A password) but then gets complicated when we have multiple passwords, different sites having different password requirements and little or no interoperability. What appears to be simple is not.

But professionals, in my experience, don't like to appear to be incompetent at anything. Especially "simple" things. So even THINKING that knowing how to manage these things may appear "beneath" value in professional development. Still, we see managing across platforms as a significant barrier.

Yigal and Grace, thanks for sharing your picks - I love hearing about what people prefer (and why!)

Hi Nancy,
Now, with all the social features added to Google Reader (and to Delicious), you may consider use GR as your RSS reader, since it gives you many options to collaborate and share.
However, it ois a little social battlefield with the user in the center of it...
I wrote about it here: http://yigalc.wordpress.com/2009/08/13/social-media-as-a-dynamic-battlefield-is-it-really-social/.
Thank you, impressive list!
